Salmon + Cream Cheese Bagel

This is THE only way to get fish in at breakfast. I have been trying to increase my fish intake to keep my cholesterol levels in check and increase my intake of anti-inflammatory fats. Smoked salmon is delicious and takes no preparation or cooking, while giving a boost of omega-3 fat and protein to the meal or snack.

Eating this for breakfast kindaaaa makes me feel like I’m at a fancy restaurant on a busy Tuesday morning. Quick and nutritious is the name of the game.

Why are we supposed to eat fish? Fish is the best dietary source of omega-3 fats, EPA and DHA. Other than breastmilk. For adults, omega-3 fats help to fight inflammation in our body, lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels to improve heart health, as well as helping improve skin and eye health.

EPA and DHA are specific types of omega-3 fatty acids – EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). There is a third type, ALA, and it is the type of omega-3 fat found in plant foods.

We often want it so badly that we ruin it before it begins. Overthinking. Fantasizing. Imagining. Expecting. Worrying. Doubting. Just let it naturally evolve.
